Black cats, broken mirrors and other signs of bad luck – how could we transform these into good luck?
Well, one way is to play IGT’s latest video slot machine, called HexBreaker 2. The game has everything a player needs to have a good luck on the slots – loads of ways to win and two-way paylines through IGT’s MultiwayXtra feature.
HexBreaker 2 is a five reel video slot machine with 3 to 5 rows (the middle one, or reel 3 is the largest) and 720 ways to win. Its symbols are known to bring bad luck: crows, black cats, broken mirrors, horseshoes pointing in the wrong direction and the number 13, joined by a HEX Breaker logo and J to K symbols to make the set complete. The Wild symbol substitutes for any other except for the Jinx, which acts as a scatter and pays out up to 100 times the bet amount.
When five Horseshoe bonus symbols land on a win line, they pay out 100 credits and trigger the game’s free spins feature. During free spins the hex is broken, and bad luck turns into good one: the black cat becomes a white kitten, the horseshoe changes direction (and triggers 10 additional spins), and all the other symbols on the reels turn into their lucky and happy counterparts. The Jinx symbol turns into “Karma”, the broken mirror turns into a four-leaf cover, while the crow transforms into a ladybug.
HexBreaker 2 is a fun game to play, with changing looks both for the darker and the lighter side of the player. It lacks some of the features I appreciate at a new slot machine – like spin stop or gamble – but it can be quite generous even without these. As you might expect, turning bad luck into good – triggering the free spins – is not easy, but it’s worth the wait.
